The Old Ship Inn is a well appointed Inn situated 500 yards off the A303 in the centre of the popular Wiltshire town of Mere, approximately 8 miles from Longleat and 3 miles from Stourhead and still only 3 miles from Wincanton Racecourse.

The Old Ship Inn, is a family run business, who have recently refurbished and renovated the Inn.

There are two bars, the Yard Arm, and the Cabin.

The Yard Arm is a large bar with a Pool table, and a Juke box which is situated on the left hand side as you enter through the Coaching Arch. Live entertainment at the weekends, The character of the Yard Arm bar is enhanced by it's Inglenook Fireplace and Original Coach Wheel.
The Cabin Bar is in the Main Inn building next to the Restaurant. This is a smaller and more intimate bar with wood panelling.
The Old Ship Inn is a Freehouse, serving Local Cider, Real Ales and new and exciting lagers like Holsten Vier.
